Day 39 BBM 90 Day Challenge

"It’s time to get your CARDIO ON!  YOU CHOOSE … 45 minutes cardio OR 20 minutes of HIIT."

As usual, I chose 20 min HIIT.  I know, no sense of adventure there, right?  LOL  Wait until it gets warmer, I promise I will get outside!

Today,  Again, I wore my 1# weighted gloves throughout the entire 20 minutes.

Unlike Wednesday, today I did feel residual burn in my legs.  My butt cramp from yesterday is gone, thankfully, but still some discomfort there.  Apparently, it's an odd thing to happen, as a few friends commented on my Facebook page and one hadn't ever experienced it before.  LOL  It HURT!

Today's 20 min HIIT Cardio:

  • 1 minute jumping jacks

  • 1 minute rest

  • 1 minute high-knees*  

  • 1 minute rest.

  • Repeat four more times for a total of 20 min HIIT Cardio.

*If you're not sure what I mean by "high-knees", it looks like this:
You lift one knee high then jump and bring other knee high.  If jumping gets too tough, I just bring the knee high, tap then alternate to other leg, minus jump.  Make sense?  If not, here's a YouTube video to demonstrate:

Then, I stretched for a few minutes, focusing on lower back and legs since they've gotten the bulk of the workout this week.  Briana provides a warm up/cool down video for exercises, but I also use ones I've learned in other workout challenges.
