BBM CHALLENGE 4 WEEK SERIES – WORKOUT: WEEK 2, DAY 3

BIKINI BODY MOMMY CHALLENGE 
4 WEEK SERIES – 
WORKOUT: WEEK 2, DAY 3

After you complete the given exercise, REST for 1 MINUTE — then move on to the next exercise, and REPEAT.  Once you complete Exercises 1-6 you are to REPEAT!   You will be doing  2 rounds of these exercises this week.

I had a bit of a headache so for the second set, I replaced a few exercises...
  • SQUAT SWINGS
  • PUSH UPS *Second Set I replaced with Tricep Curls*
  • LUNGE KNEE UPS (30 SEC per leg)
  • MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS   *Second Set I replaced with Tricep Dips*
  • TEETER TOTTER LUNGES (30 SEC per leg)
  • EXTENDED PLANK HOLD  *Second Set I did an Elbow Plank instead*

I added ab exercises at the end, seen in photo below:

  • REPEAT SET ONCE MORE
Phew!  Another killer HIIT Cardio day.  My legs and butt were burning, my heart was thumping.  ALL good signs!  I pushed hard and then after did a 30 sec elbow plank (just cause).

I have still a way to go, but I am getting there!!  Got through the first set okay, but second set, my back was "off" so I didn't get past #3 (Lunge Knee Ups).  Back at it tomorrow!!!

1. SQUAT, CURL, PRESS 1 minute.
2. SPEED SKATERS  1 minute.
3. BENT OVER ROWS 1 minute.
4. STEP UPS  (30 seconds per leg)
5. TRICEP DIPS  1minute.
6. HUNDREDS  1minute.

I didn't bother counting, I just pushed myself hard for each exercise.  I felt the burn though, no doubt about it.  I also completed Day 5 of Squat Challenge and did 70 squats with my 5# dumbbells.

I really want to see results and push beyond the plateau I feel like I am on.  Not only physically but mentally.

Starting the 4wk BBM Challenge

The 4 week BBM Challenge




Now that the Bikini Body Mommy Challenge has concluded, Briana created a 4 week program to carry us over until the next 90 Day Challenge starts, on May 5th.  This 4 week program started on Monday, however, I got really sick that night with a stomach "bug" and have been weak and couldn't get back to normal until today.  Unfortunately, I lost FIVE pounds in the most awful way.  Then, the beauty of Mother Nature arrived for the month (sorry guys, if any read this LOL).

SO...I decided to do a few things for the remainder of this week...

I will join up the group on Monday the 14th, but for this week, I need to work my way slowly back to feeling fit enough for Strength Training and HIIT Cardio.  Since it has warmed up now, I took the baby out in her stroller, for a 45 minute walk.  According to MFP I only burned 102 calories.  I don't think it considers your pace, the weight of baby+stroller, inclines, etc.  I felt the burn in my legs and butt, my heart was at a decent acceleration and I was breathing heavy.  What I liked about simple walking is that I controlled the pace and distance.  I felt good, so I kept going.  I calculated it when I got back and although it was challenging, it was only 1.7 miles.  But, it's more than zero, and I've been sick, so I will take what I can get.  =)

I also don't feel I can pick up at 150 squats (30 day Squat Challenge) right now, which is where I should be at this point.  Instead, I am going to start at the beginning again.  Well, almost beginning.  I am going to start at Day 5, tomorrow, and will complete 70 squats.  Day 4 is day of rest so I will just wait.

Remember, it's not how many times you get knocked down, it's about how many times you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep going.  I am not done yet and even when I hit my goals, I will just create new ones and strive for them.  I am really liking "getting fit" so I plan to continue it for a long, long time.

Today is the final day of the 90 Day Challenge and thus, FIT TEST and FINAL MEASUREMENTS!!
And yes, I took "post" pics but I am not comfortable posting them.  I know, I know...I should.  You guys have been watching me for weeks and honestly I look better in clothes then not..LOL.  BUT, I am NOT DONE and hope to post pics soon to show you.

I will, however post my before and after stats.  It was a hell of a challenge and I didn't do all of the workouts I should have, but gave each session 110%, so I am proud of how far I have come.

Day 86!!  Only 4 more days on the Challenge!!

HIIT Cardio!!


Today I did (wearing 1# weighted gloves):

  • Jumping jacks 1 minute
  • Rest 1 minute
  • High Knees 1 minute
  • Rest 1 minute
  • Shadow Boxing 1 minute
  • Rest 1 minute

Repeated for total of three sets. Since that was only 19 minutes, I didn't waste any time and moved straight into the "add-ons" below...

Add-ons:

  • In addition, I am doing the "30 Day Squat Challenge" and am on Day 11, which was 110 squats.  I did 2 sets of 37 and 1 set of 36 with 30 second rest in-between. I also added my 1# weighted gloves AND 5# dumbbells in each hand.



  • Completed 30 Oblique Crunches (each side), 20 second Side Planks (each side) and a 1 minute Elbow Plank



I am stepping it up because I want HUGE results before the Summer.  I will post my final before/after BBM stats at the end of this week.  =)

Day 85 BBM 90 Day Challenge

Day 85:  Not sure I see a difference.  
BUT, I feel great and now enjoy working out.  
Who knew?  LOL

It's the final week of the Bikini Body Mommy Challenge! Woot Woot!  How are you doing?  I haven't been 100% throughout, maybe like 80%, but every workout I do give it 100% so hopefully that counts for something.

So today's workout is:

1. SQUAT SWING  28/25
2. PUSH-UP “T-STANDS”  13
3. LUNGE KNEE-UPS  21/19
4. MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS  90
5. BICEP CURL “3 REP ROUNDERS”  12/12/9

7. STRAIT-LEG SQUAT THRUSTS  10

Getting There!  Want those "tank top arms" for Summer!

  • In addition, I am doing the "30 Day Squat Challenge" and am on Day 10, which was 105 squats.  I did 3 sets of 35 with 30 second rest in-between. OW.  Just sayin'  =)
  • Also, did 30 Oblique Crunches (each side), 20 second Side Planks (each side) and a 45 second Elbow Plank



When the BBM Challenge is over, Briana has more in store for us as the next month goes by and the next 90 Day Challenge, which starts 5/5.  I am going to do my "own thing" until the next challenge starts, which consists of a LOT of ab exercises, HIIT Cardio and of course working from the inside out with my meals and warm water + lemon juice every morning.

At the end of this week, I will share the workouts I will be doing over the next 30 days, in case you'd like to follow along.

Day 78 BBM 90 Day Challenge

Headed into the final two weeks of the 90 Day Challenge.  In addition to my daily workouts, I have added a few other actions.

1.  Glass of warm water with 1/2 fresh squeezed lemon upon rising.
2.  Dry brushing before shower each day (Youtube has great videos on this)
3.  Using Briana's skin "concoction" on whole body, not just stretch marks
4.  30 day "Squat Challenge" to get the BUTT in shape too  =)

So, here is today's scheduled workout for BBM:

1. Death March (100 lunges in 4 minutes)
2. One Arm Windmill (1 minute per side)
3. Dive Bomber Push ups (1 minute)
4. Jump squats (1 minute)
5. Bear Crawl (1 minute)
6. ISO Abs (1 minute)

Hey Friends!  I can't believe it's been over two weeks since I posted!  I am STILL on the Challenge, but life has a way of mixing things up a bit, so I haven't been on target like I was for the first two months.

So, over the past two weeks, I have been playing more.  Softball with the kids, walking the baby in the stroller, HIIT Cardio some nights and just started the "30 Day Squat Challenge" as well.

Only two weeks left on the BBM Challenge and I am going to start another challenge immediately after.

I also started "dry brushing" my skin to invigorate the cells, detox and reduce cellulite.

Going to have that BEACH BODY by Summer!!

  • Sumo Squats – 1 minute.....Reps:  23/25/28
  • 30 second rest
  • Burpees w/push-up – 1 minute.....Modified!!!  6/8/7
  • 30 second rest
  • Plank Shoulder Touches – 1 minute.....Reps:  40/41/36
  • 30 second rest



"Perform all 6 exercises in the set, then REPEAT for 3 rounds."

NOTE:  I modified a couple exercises again.  I did "High Knees" without jumping instead of "Tuck Jumps" and the Burpees, I did with a push-up and walked through the steps.  I struggled, but made it through!  =)

Hello friends!  I have been absent, once again, due to my back.  =(  Last Wednesday, I had stiffness in my back and took the night off to rest.  Now, 5 days later, I am FED UP.  I have not worked out in days.

Surprisingly, I became addicted to exercising and am really bummed about it.  So, I will be re-joining the group on the Challenge and will modify the heck out of each exercise so that I don't cause further injury.  LOL


Today I will be doing:

  1. Jumping Jacks – 1 minute.....Modified!!!  34/35/x
  2. Walking Lunges – 1 minute.....Reps:  22/24/x
  3. Tuck Jumps – 1 minute.....High Knees instead:  54/66/x
  4. Sumo Squats – 1 minute.....Reps:  20/28/x
  5. Burpees – 1 minute.....Modified!!!  6/8/x
  6. Plank Shoulder Touches – 1 minute.....Reps:  28/40/x


"Perform all 6 exercises in the set, then REPEAT for 3 rounds."

NOTE:  I modified ANY exercise that included jumping.  I did "High Knees" without jumping instead of "Tuck Jumps" and the Burpees, I walked through the steps.  Also, I felt fatigued, light-headed and tender, so I only did 2 sets, instead of 3.  No point in pushing myself, only to be out of commission for more days.  =)

Day 51 BBM 90 Day Challenge

Day 51 BBM 90 Day Challenge 




Today's mission: 20 minute HIIT Cardio!  Now, as you know, I do that every Cardio day, as opposed to the longer workout.  Many in the Challenge do 45+ minutes of other cardio exercises so for them, this was a shift.  For me, it's a matter of choosing which exercises I want to do today.


  • Elevated mountain climbers
  • Rest 1 minute
  • Jumping jacks
  • Rest 1 minute
  • High knees
  • Rest 1 minute
  • Jumping squats
  • Rest 1 minute
  • Repeat x 3 for total of 24 minute HIIT Cardio

I know I went over a little bit, but I wanted to mix things up quite a bit and so that put me over the 20 minute mark.  PHEW!

Need to get the butt and tummy toned!!!  Legs are shaping up; I can feel it through my pants.  Arms are starting to slim down too.  Slowly, but surely, I am getting there.

I STILL struggle with eating.  I don't mind eating clean, but I don't eat enough throughout the day and that's a big no-no.  =(  I do try, but on a tight budget, sometimes there just isn't enough food in the house.

Day 50 BBM 90 Day Challenge

Hey friends!  Back on track again.  Day 48 was Cardio, but I skipped it and Day 49 was a rest day.

This was a tough one, for sure.  I have limited space and had to get creative with my sturdy, elevated surface.  I used a chair against a pool table for lunges, and the basement steps for push-ups and mountain climbers.  LOL

Here's today workout results:

  • Bent over Dumbell Rows:  40/41/39
  • Rear Foot Elevated Lunges Left:  17/21/20  Right:  17/20/20
  • Elevated Push ups (no modifications):  15/16/16
  • Elevated Mountain Climbers:  75/80/83


What to do:  Set interval timer 1 Minute and complete as many of that exercise for FULL minute.
Take a minute rest .. and move on to the next exercise.

Repeat for a total of 3 ROUNDS.

DONE!

Yesterday was the mid-way Fit Test and I pushed myself hard.  Thankfully, I am not hurting too much today.  LOL

Today's HIIT routine, with 1# weighted gloves:



  • 1 minute jumping jacks



  • 1 minute rest



  • 1 minute jumping squats



  • 1 minute rest



Repeat x 4 for a 20 min HIIT Cardio.

Hey friends!  Thanks for stopping by.  Yesterday I pushed myself hard with the new exercises and today.... OW!  LOL  My chest, shoulders and legs hurt.  SO... I will not be doing my usual HIIT cardio.  I am simply going to do:


  • 1 minute high knees



  • 1 minute rest



  • 1 minute jump rope



  • 1 minute rest


Repeat x 4 for a 20 min HIIT Cardio.

Hey friends!  Thanks for stopping by.  I am a little "off" still.  Day 41 there was no post but it was a Cardio day.  There's no post cause I didn't do my Cardio that day.  The next day was, Day 42 a "Rest Day". So I am picking up with Day 43 today.  =)

Here's the new set of exercises for Day 43:


20 REPS for each exercise x 3 ROUNDS

Each round consists of :
1 – Bridge Flys
2 – Alternating forward lunges
3 – Squat tricep extension
4 – Plank hold with alternating foot lift = 1 MINUTE

This went fairly well.  I have a very closed in area, so I had to get creative as to which way to move, but overall, I got it DONE!!  I counted on the 1 minute planks and did 40/40/42 leg lifts.

Coming upstairs after cooling down...my thighs burned a bit.  LOL  That's what happens after two days of rest I guess.

REMINDER:  I am a day behind.  This workout was for Friday 2/14.  Again, I will continue to follow the week's plan, just one day behind the group and hopefully, after tomorrow, will be caught up on 2/17.  =)

Day 40 .. “LOVE your LEGS & BOOTY” workout!

20 Full Squats
30 Second Squat Hold
20 Squat Pulses
( Repeat Set)

20 Alternating Lunge Kicks
20 Jump Lunges
30 Second Lunge Hold-each Side
(Repeat Set)

20 Calf Raises
20 Calf Raises this time one leg at a time, 10 each
(Repeat Set)

So happy that this is the last of these leg sets.  OMG.  I was falling over and laughing.  If only you were a fly on the wall... LOL!!  But...I made it through all of the exercises, slowly but surely.  And the BURN was as usual, intense, but still wasn't as bad as the first time.

I finished off not with stretches, but by dancing to Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold." It always made me dance at work, so much so that even after I stopped working there, rumor is that my old co-workers start dancing when it comes on...and think of me.  How sweet is that? And, knowing that, I dance...thinking of them!

Anyway...going to have my late snack then get ready for my shower.

Day 39 BBM 90 Day Challenge

"It’s time to get your CARDIO ON!  YOU CHOOSE … 45 minutes cardio OR 20 minutes of HIIT."


As usual, I chose 20 min HIIT.  I know, no sense of adventure there, right?  LOL  Wait until it gets warmer, I promise I will get outside!

Today,  Again, I wore my 1# weighted gloves throughout the entire 20 minutes.

Unlike Wednesday, today I did feel residual burn in my legs.  My butt cramp from yesterday is gone, thankfully, but still some discomfort there.  Apparently, it's an odd thing to happen, as a few friends commented on my Facebook page and one hadn't ever experienced it before.  LOL  It HURT!



Today's 20 min HIIT Cardio:


  • 1 minute jumping jacks



  • 1 minute rest



  • 1 minute high-knees*  



  • 1 minute rest.



  • Repeat four more times for a total of 20 min HIIT Cardio.


*If you're not sure what I mean by "high-knees", it looks like this:
You lift one knee high then jump and bring other knee high.  If jumping gets too tough, I just bring the knee high, tap then alternate to other leg, minus jump.  Make sense?  If not, here's a YouTube video to demonstrate:

Then, I stretched for a few minutes, focusing on lower back and legs since they've gotten the bulk of the workout this week.  Briana provides a warm up/cool down video for exercises, but I also use ones I've learned in other workout challenges.

I actually had to take a break and skip some of the jump lunges because I got a butt cramp.  OMG... I had to laugh at that one.

Otherwise, I made it through all of the exercises, slowly but surely.  And the BURN was bad...intense, but still wasn't as bad as 2 days ago.  Guess that's good, right?

So now, going to have my late snack, a Greek yogurt, then get ready for my shower.

Again, thanks so much for following along on my journey.  It's not perfect and I skip days, don't finish workouts and sometimes make sh*t up as I go...but I am sticking to this journey.  And, even though I am not highly disciplined, I think sticking through it to the end, giving it my all, is key.

Day 37 BBM 90 Day Challenge

It’s time to get your CARDIO ON!

YOU CHOOSE … 45 minutes cardio OR 20 minutes of HIIT.


As usual, I chose 20 min HIIT.


Today, as most Cardio days, I chose to do jumping jacks, sprints and punches. Again, I wore my 1# weighted gloves throughout the entire 20 minutes.

Despite the intense BURN I went through in yesterday's workout, my legs didn't hurt one bit today.  However, I found that when I started doing the jumping jacks, my knees were bothering me.  A sharp type of pain that I didn't like one bit.  So, I improvised, doing modified jumping jacks by stepping out instead of jumping.  Not as energetic, but I don't want to cause any injuries.


1 minute modified jumping jacks

1 minute rest

30 seconds high-knee sprinting  (this didn't bother my knees much at all...odd)

15 seconds cross punches and 15 seconds uppercuts.

1 minute rest.


Repeat four more times for a total of 20 min HIIT Cardio.

Today's playlist was once again, Katy Perry with some songs that always fire me up and encourage me to keep going.  ;)

Then, I stretched for a few minutes.  Overall, a decent workout that got my heart rate up there.

BURN!!!!!!!!!!!  I couldn't do these workouts as directed.  If you watch the video, Briana was having a tough time.  Normally, I love squats and lunges but OMG.... I am burnt.  Fried.  Crisp.  Damn!

Anyway, I need a hot shower and rest now.  LOL

I can't even think straight that was so fricking hard.  LMAO

Day 34:  REST DAY!!

Since I've gotten into the habit, I did my measurements today.  I am proud to say that even though I didn't have the best of weeks, no numbers went up.

Weight loss:  even

Inches:  minus 1.25"

I will take that!  LOL  Even if I lose only 1.25" every week, by the end of the challenge, I will have trimmed down quite nicely.  And, I totally plan on starting a new challenge immediately after this one concludes.  Not sure if it'll be another BBM Challenge or something different like Beachbody's Focus T25, which I've had my eye on for awhile.

And, on a personal note, Happy 5 Months to my baby, Julianna!

It’s time to get your CARDIO ON!

YOU CHOOSE … 45 minutes cardio OR 20 minutes of HIIT.


Of course, once again I chose 20 min HIIT.  I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can do some 45 minute Cardio.  I don't have any equipment in-home to use, so it'll have to wait until I can get out there without freezing my butt off...or worrying about slipping on ice.  LOL

So, today, as most Cardio days, I chose to do jumping jacks, sprints and punches. Again, I wore my 1# weighted gloves throughout the entire 20 minutes.


  • 1 Minute jumping jacks



  • 1 minute rest



  • 30 seconds sprinting (today I pretended I was jumping in tires like they show in military bootcamp videos... bringing knees up fairly high each step.)
  • 15 seconds cross punches and 15 seconds uppercuts.



  • 1 minute rest.


Repeat four more times for a total of 20 min HIIT Cardio.

Since Cardio doesn't require a video, I find a playlist I like on YouTube and run that in the background, plus a separate tab running a 1 minute timer on the online stopwatch and have my phone counting the overall time of workout (making sure I do at least 20 minutes total). Today's playlist was Katy Perry with some songs that always fire me up and encourage me to keep going.  ;)

Then, I stretched for a few minutes, since my legs were still burning from all those lunges this week and I definitely don't want my back tensing up again.  Overall, a great workout and I gave myself a high-five and yes, I fist-pumped when I was done.  LOL

EXERCISE #1. DEATH MARCH: 100 WALKING LUNGE CHALLENGE  Either 4 Minutes or 100, whichever comes first.  Total: 75 in 4 minutes (7 more than Wednesday!)

Rest for 2 MINUTES

EXERCISE #2. ONE ARM WINDMILLS

Perform 10 reps on one arm, then switch and do the other for 3 sets total

EXERCISE #3. BOAT POSE/ELEVATED-LEG, OBLIQUE CRUNCH 5 sets total *Again, only did 3 sets*

Like I said the other day, this is some tough work!  Briana makes it look so simple, she is my inspiration because she isn't perfect and you can tell she is working hard in the videos, not like a Pro video.

Tonight, I did okay on the lunges, although my legs BURNED right from the beginning.  I looked down, saw the outline of my leg in my pants and felt encouraged to keep going and burn that fat.

Tonight, the windmills gave me some trouble.  On my HIIT Cardio days, I do lots of jumping jacks and between both exercises, my shoulders and neck are tense and sore.  Will have to do something else for cardio for a little while.

I did better with the crunch exercises.  I folded my mat an extra time to cushion my bum and didn't tuck my leg in quite as tight.  Yet, I still only got three sets done.

My diet has been off and I am hoping to get back on track soon.  My problem has always been not eating throughout the day and that is still an issue.  I am glad you are following along on my journey, but I want to hear about yours.  What program are you following?  What exercises are you doing?  What are your results so far?  Please comment below and let me know.  Would love to hear from you.

This was TOUGH!  Briana makes it look so simple...then, try to keep up in the videos and whoa!  LOL  I did okay on the lunges, although if I had more room to walk, I think I may have gotten a few more in.  I definitely felt the burn from #30 on.  EEK!

Again, the windmills looked easy, but weren't.  I felt a lot of clicking in one shoulder and my neck is always tense, so that was difficult.  I ended up using my 1# weights without a dumbbell tonight.

UGH... these crunches were horrible.  First, I have a boney butt, so it has always hurt to balance on my "seat" then add to it the lift of my leg...as she points out in the video, I cramped in both hips.  Unfortunately, I couldn't do set 4 & 5 tonight, but hopefully next time.  =(

Day 30 BBM 90 Day Challenge



Day 30 BBM 90 Day Challenge

One-third of the way through the Challenge.  
Congrats to all Mommies (and Daddies too)on the Challenge with me. 

From Briana, Bikini Body Mommy:

"It's time to WEIGH, RE-MEASURE, TAKE ANOTHER SET of PROGRESS PICS .... and get your CARDIO ON!  YOU CHOOSE ... 45 minutes cardio OR 20 minutes of HIIT."

I did my measurements over the weekend and if you didn't read that post (Day 27), I lost 5# and 4 inches so far on the BBM Challenge!!  If I can keep this momentum, I will hit goals by the end of Challenge, which is about 15# weight loss and around 12 inches lost.

I will, of course, choose the 20 min HIIT.

Today I am doing:
5 minutes jumping jacks (with 1# gloves)
5 minutes sprints
1 minute rest between each set for 10 minutes rest.

Also, I was playing with the baby, lifting her up and down and noticed my biceps and shoulders are becoming much more defined.  And, as I said the other day, my pants felt looser, which is why I measured early.  Awesome.  =)

I hit this HARD and was dying!  LOL  Sweating, panting... whoa!  Almost didn't make it to the 20 minute mark, but I DID!!

I know I am not supposed to check-in yet, but for some reason, my pants kept slipping down today so I decided to weigh myself.  I will measure myself tomorrow, but so far...

Okay, so today, the last workout day of the week is... Cardio!! And, as always I will be doing a 20 min HIIT session.  =)

Total 5 minutes sprints
Total 10 minutes rest


Tomorrow is a rest day.  So, see you Monday!!

Exercises for today and my rep count.  First time I did them this week, as opposed to others who did it for third time.  My back is better, but I didn't over-do it with the dumbbells.  Did wear my 1# hand weights for everything.  =)

1)  Squat/Curl/Press with 'heavy' weight (I used my 5# plus gloves), 3 minutes straight:  45 reps

1 minute rest

2)  Teeter Totter Lunges, 1 minute each leg:  24 left leg, 28 right leg

1 minute rest

3)  3-part Shoulder Series, 3 minutes straight:  25 reps

1 minute rest

4)  Bend over rows, 3 minutes straight:  56 reps

1 minute rest

5)  Extended Plank:  1:15

Day 25 BBM 90 Day Challenge

Day 25 BBM 90 Day Challenge

Hey friends! 

Well, you may have noticed I did not post for days 21 through 24 and that is because my back was still pretty bad.  It probably wasn't my sciatica, because I had a good-sized knot on the right side of my mid back and the pain radiated from my tailbone up...not down my butt or leg.  Anyway, whatever it was, it was really bad and I had trouble standing or sitting...even lifting the baby (she's about 13#)

I did weigh in on Sunday and dropped ~3# so that is exciting.  I've not eaten the way I should've this week.  But, I am not beating myself up at all.  After all, it's a marathon, not a sprint.  And, there are going to be days or even a week or two, when things don't go quite right.  I am just going to keep pushing forward.

The picture above is me, pre-workout, tonight.  The camera was tilted, which frustrated me since I have been crooked like a question mark all week.  Now that I can finally stand straight, the photo is tilted.  LOL  Oh well.

Today, I am still off Bikini Body Challenge workouts and did my revised 20 min HIIT cardio.  Tomorrow, I am back on plan and back to the challenge.  PLEASE...share your comments below.  Are you on a challenge?  Are you working out?  What are you doing to improve your health this year?

Did 5 minutes of jumping jacks (regular ones)
Did 2 minutes of sprinting in place and 3 minutes cross-punches.
With one minute rest between each exercise.

Hello friends!!

Today is the last day of the workout week.  It is supposed to be a Cardio day.  However, I am going to rest today.  Not only is my back still "iffy" but also, it's been a heck of a day.  I've been in and out constantly since 4:30am and it is cold.  The cold really zaps my energy.  So, I'm feeling a bit blue, to be honest.  I want to work-out, but know that with my state-of-mind, birthday cake from my step-daughter's 21st birthday and a he** of a day, I just want to cuddle in a blanket and sleep.

So, I am flipping things around a bit, again.  I will do my 8 exercises from yesterday's schedule early in the day and probably Cardio later, at night.

Then, back on schedule for Monday!

Day 19 BBM 90 Day Challenge

Day 19 BBM 90 Day Challenge


Today was supposed to be the 8 exercises from earlier in this week, however, with the still sore back, I decided to do another day of HIIT cardio instead.  It worked well yesterday and I didn't tweak anything.  I also decided against taking a night off since I am the type to go more than one day, if I do take a day off.  I cannot let myself slow done if I want results.

What did I do?  Well similar to yesterday, but there were a couple of changes.

**I wore my 1# weighted gloves for the entire 20 minutes.**

1 min mod. jumping jacks.  I modified these by stepping out to one side, then bending at the knee (like a partial squat) as I brought my hands together over my head. Return to center and then do the same with other leg.  The very last set, during the last 30 seconds, I did regular jumping jacks to gauge my body's reaction and it went very well!!

1 min. rest

1 min modified jogging in place, along with some cross-punches.  I did thirty seconds of sprinting in place, arms tucked in.  Then the other 30 seconds, I stood legs spread and cross-punched in to the air in front of me.  By twisting at the hips, there was no pain in my back.

1 min rest


Repeat four more sets so that I have done 5 sets of jumping jacks, 5 set of sprints, 5 sets of cross-punches,  and 10 minutes rest, total of 20 min.  

**Again, I modified it to fit what works for me, my available space to workout and, to minimize any further damage to my back.  I did do the cool-down stretches after, as well.**

Since I did not need to watch a BBM video for guidance and needed something to inspire me, I played this video repeatedly for the entire 20 minutes.  ;)  It always gets me going and makes me move as fast or as hard as I can, especially the punching.  LOL


My eating was a bit off today as I'd run out of most of my stuff for the week.  I did make sure to eat throughout the day and will log in to MFP and enter my meals for the day.


Off to take a hot shower now!  ;-)
